YES, now is the good time to invest in GOLD.
Invest in gold to build up your gold portfolio, whether you choose to go for physical gold or 'bank-transact' gold (paper gold), it is still a good choice.

Down turn in the share market & major countries like US having hard time with their economics make the gold price float high. Still wanting to put all your money into the bank for the interest? OK, here's some figures you might want to consider gold. GOLD hit USD1000 per ounce this February 09, and dropped to USD895 per ounce last Wednesday. It got up to USD1000 once due to alot of money withdrawn from sharemarket and put into gold market, as the demand goes high, the price does too (Supply & Demand). It is rising up again for the next wave. Today, gold priced around USD924, it is USD19 rise in 2 days! The gold price is predicted to be Q2 - USD950, Q3 - USD1000 & Q4 - USD1050 for Year 2009.

My opinion, invest in as soon as possible to take advantage of current price. When to let go? I would say hold it until just after Christmas 2009 ( maybe 1 or 2 days later). Don't you think GOLD is the safest & most stable investment with regards to current situation?

Is it a good time to invest in Sharemarket right now?

Some people says, this is the time to invest in during this time of economy down turn. Reason given is that a lot of the share values are under market value.

If you buy that as a good statement, I wish you good luck.

Well, no one really can tell what will happen tomorrow, right?

Same to Share Market.

Those people that tells you that ' it is the best time to invest...', they are actually assuming the economy will boost in a very near future. An diagram as like this:-

The red point represent the time, and the blue line is the predicted trend.

They are 'guessing' that the share values will shoot up.

If that is the case for now, then it is the RIGHT TIME.

BUT, what if the current situation is like this:-

Where this diagram shows that the market trend is predicted to be going down for awhile before it rise up. Then, it is not a good time to invest. You would want to wait for awhile until it reach the bottom.

The conclusion is - there is no conclusion to the Share market analysis as you may already have realized that it has the same rules as gambling. No right no wrong, just your luck. Trust your sense and have a good timing.

Similar to other cards like Charge Card, Debit Card. Credit Card can be use in many retail stores all around the world. Stores equipped with ‘Credit Card Transaction Machine’ allow customer to pay using Credit Cards. It is quite convenient for ‘Frequent Travellers’ who do not want to have many cash in hand, in some other cases which would be for emergency usage.

Some ‘Cash-Out Machines’ accept Credit Card for cash out transaction. It makes travelers love to bring along at least one credit card in hand as it may come in handy. Imagine that if you were out of the country for business or pleasure, where you were in a city with no friends and you were running out of cash (not to mention other things worse than this). What would you do? Call back to you friends or family and ask them to deposit some funds to you bank account? OR would you like to cash out immediately with you Credit Card for you needs? Which is more convenient – you make the call.

Now, you see the usefulness of Credit Card. So, if you are able to, get at least one Credit Card for yourself – for at least emergency use, you will never know what will happen next.

A credit card is a system of payment named after the small plastic card issued to users. Issuer (financial firm) lends money to the consumer (or the user), a credit card allows the consumer to 'revolve' their balance, at the cost of having interest charged, but because of competition between the issuers, the customer (or the user) will have 0 interest charged if the balance is cleared within 30 days from the day of the transaction (a.k.a. Grace Period) and other benefits when using the credit card, such as free travel insurance, reward points, free gift and etc. Most credit cards are the same shape and size, as specified by the ISO 7810 standard.

Travelers will normally have credit cards, as they may not need to carry a lot of cash in hand (personal security and safety reasons) and travel around. They would just carry some sufficient cash and credit cards. Credit card is also come in handy for people who do not like to carry huge amount of cash in hand (for emergency usage purpose).

Most of the world realizes the ‘Global Warming’, so how to make our Earth healthier again?

I took this photo with my handphone when I was my way to do some shopping with my family, amazingly I saw some trees growing out from the rooftop (these are papaya trees). That relates me to a TV documentary show from Japan, saying Japan is recommending buildings’ rooftop be planted with at least 30% area of plants. The documentary showed some statistics on the rooftop plantings are cooling the buildings down without air-conditioning and even the surroundings. The temperature showed a decrease of 2°C - 3°C.

Wow! People in my hometown can figured out these and are doing some ‘Global Cooling’, I am proud of my hometown. Further, I think these are every human beings’ duty to do something good to our Earth right now.

Good Stuff 8 : First Day Cover (Collectables, Antique)

I used to have the hobby of collecting First Day Covers and stamps when I was a kid. It was kinda fun when asking parents to buy me few sets of First Day Cover, they never say no..haha.

I moved to a new place recently, surprisingly I found all my First Day cover collection folders when I was packing my things. I have a few flips of the folders and realize that most of the First Day Covers are more than 10 years old! Wow! Above is a video captured of one of my First Day cover.

Talking about First Day Covers as collectables and antiques, maybe one day it will be come a treasure. So, what is First Day Cover anyway?

According Wiki, “The first day of issue is the day on which a postage stamp, postal card or stamped envelope is put on sale, within the country or territory of the stamp-issuing authority. Sometimes the issue is made from a temporary or permanent foreign or overseas office. There will usually be a first day of issue postmark, frequently a pictorial cancellation, indicating the city and date where the item was first issued, and "first day of issue" is often used to refer to this postmark. A first day cover (FDC) is an envelope where the postage stamps have been cancelled on their first day of issue. Good Stuff 1: Silver Arowana Fish

“AROWANA” ( 龍魚 )

The origin of Arowana fish is Amazon River Basin. Arowana fish is believed (and is still in believing) that will bring Good Luck to the owner. Due to its popularity, Arowana fish has been brought to all around the world like Asia, Europe and even Arabian countries.

Major Types of Arowana Fish:-

Gold Arowana (Pearl / Cross-Back)
Red Arowana (Pearl / Cross-Back)
Green Arowana (Pearl / Cross-Back)
Silver Arowana (Pearl / Cross-Back)

I realized that there are some so called “Certified Arowana Fish” in the market, these Certified Fish have Birth Certificate, and some even have “micro chipset” embedded in their bodies (for identification purposes). Of course price make the different, these “Certified Arowana Fish” are not cheap, in fact, they are the luxuries of all, range from 50 to 10,000 dollars, depending on the species type / size / shape / colors and so on.

See the pictures above of the “Silver Arowana” which I bought a month ago. , it is about 9 inches in length & 5 to 6 months old. Arowana fish can grow up to 2 feet in length or even bigger. This is the second Arowana fish I ever have. The first one I had was about 15 years ago, it was a Green Arowana. As time past by, and it left us few years after that (naturally...).

My Arowana fish does not like dried fish food (those round reddish color fish food), basically it is not interested in those ‘dead’ fish food. Normally, I will get some live tiny prawn (white & semi-transparent in color, less than 1 inch length) or live small fish (also about less and 1 inch) for her stomach filling. These ‘live’ fish food can be purchased from most of the aquarium shops, spending about 1 to 3 dollars per week on these ‘live’ fish food. My Arowana fish enjoying “earn” her own food by aggressively chasing for those prawn and small fish. Her food hunting instinct is still there!

Alright, enough writing. More will be add if I get another fish (maybe a Red Arowana!).
